To increase awareness of diabetes and its complications, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) are asking the public "Why should you care about diabetes?" "Diabetes can lead to heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, blindness and amputations," said Roderick L. Bremby, Secretary of KDHE.
